hey you pet lovers for halloween i was going to spray paint my dog orange with temporary hair paint is it safe or will it hurt her? I know it sounds stupid but I was just wondering.
i will not spray her any where by her face or anything i was just wondering if icould or not. i am not a twit for asking a question I was i thought it would be cute That is why i asked yahoo answers.
Thanks for answering guys i will post a picture of her after halloween to show you what she looks like I have not decided if i am going to die her or not.

I used some of the green hair spray on my white boxer once. As long as you keep it away from the eyes, nose, and mouth the dog should be fine. Just make sure to wash it out when you are done.

go ahead but stay away from her face.it bad to inhale it so cover her nose and eyes.and also try not to get any in her ears or ass
Wait! Do not spray paint a dog, she will guaranteed hate it! If it’s chemical spray paint your planning to use think again! She might try to lick it off and poison herself! Make sure you go to a pet or a vet or some where which will provide with the correct advice.

Well, yea, i guess it wouldn’t do much harm but CHECK THE BACK OF THE LABEL FIRST! Don’t put any near her face or eyes… Perhaps ask an expert, like vet or some one to make sure. But I’m pretty sure it’s O.K. as long as you take the same precautions as you would with a human. AWESUM IDEA! I would sooo luv to celebrate halloween, but here in Australia we don’t do it…=(

For one it doesn’t sound stupid, its a cool concept. There might be a small problem with the chemicals in the hair product though. I could cause a rash if it irritates the dogs skin. Good luck though.
I wouldn’t recommend using a hair spray even if it was temporary since your dog will most likely lick herself and these are not meant to be ingested. You can still dye her a funky color with food coloring and also be sure that you are not causing harm to your baby. Good Luck!

Oh jeez do not spray your dog with the color spray. it can be dangerous toward some animals you might not wanna take the risk.
If it has any warnings on the can to the effect that "do not swallow, ingest or inhale" then "NO".
You can get dog coloring sprays that are not harmful to your dog. Your dog may look a little stupid for a while, but why not?
Dog’s skin has a different PH level to humans so even if the label says it is safe for humans it may not be safe for dogs and it could cause skin irritation. Why not just dress your dog up for Halloween? There are some pretty cute dog costumes around the place – that way you definitely wont harm your dog and you still get to dress her up to look cute!
Sounds cute but i wouldnt do it…. may lick it and make her sick…but im not a vet ask vets

Yeah, I have to say I agree with some of the others who answered. It sounds like a good idea, but I’m not sure if it’s safe for your dog. There is the obvious reason that she might lick her fur, but it might also irritate her skin and cause a rash or something. Probably wise to get professional advice before you do anything.
And to the person above who said Halloween isn’t celebrated in Australia, I live in Oz and I’m going to a Halloween party Friday night, so I guess it’s not just for the other side of the world.
