What do you think of this poem?
Colors
Red is a fire truck, going down the street.
Blue is water, dripping down my feet.
Pink is the flowers, popping up the path.
Purple is the soap, sudsy in the bath.
Yellow is the sun, rising above the clouds.
Green is grass, lying under the crowds.
Black is a cat, running on halloween.
White is a new shirt, fresh and clean.
Brown is chocolate, on a cake.
Orange is candy, that I can’t break.
So what are colors to you?
I think it’s good, if not slightly immature in the comparisons it uses. If you wrote this, (which I’m assuming you did) then don’t use the first word people will think of. It’ll make for a more interesting poem. X
