Halloween Cat Rituals
Have black cats been known to be sacrificed in Satanic rituals during Halloween?
I was at a PetSmart a few years ago and I saw a cat I was thinking of getting once I moved into my own house. The person there told me I might not be able to get her during October because they usually send black cats back to the shelters for Halloween, the reason for this being sometimes people buy them to be tortured. I’m not joking this time; this isn’t like my question about the homicidal ice cream truck drivers.
Although you might find a few isolated incidents of crazy people who did this because they actually thought they were performing some ritual, the truth is – this is an urban legend.

“But Howard and other metro Denver animal shelter directors say the worry is overblown. “I’ve never in my 27 years in this business heard of anything real happening to a black cat during Halloween”, she said. “It’s urban legend, these stories about black cats being sacrificed.”"
