I found a wooden box from Maine in a folk art auction that really enjoyed it. Was rather low, but was painted chrome yellow and was cut green forest. Era apothecary style bottle with a stopper and containing at least ten different colors of sand. The bottle ended up selling for eighty five hundred dollars. I am sure that has finished in an excellent collection of folk art.
I found a folk art auction fun three wooden carvings. The name of the piece has been Three Folk Art Whimseys articulated and made all in the same artist. The carvings were accented with sheet metal neckties. The first sculpture in selling Folk Art Auction was a shoemaker, a blacksmith and a man with a donkey. The second sculpture was a little soldier, and the third was a cobbler smoking a pipe. I think this piece of Americana was purchased at a low price of three thousand dollars worth of light more.onto a black cab that was built especially for them.
