Halloween Pet Bed
please help me with my “wild” kitten?
On Halloween, I rescued a 5-month-old cat from the streets. His pregnant mom had been dumped on the side of the road and had the litter, only two kittens were left and I got the black one. So far all he does is pee around, hide under things, and cry for his mom and sisters. He won’t let me pet him and his cries are heartbreaking. I’m worried that he’s wild; he’s never been inside before. I’m thinking of just throwing in the blanket and putting him to sleep, but I want to give it a fighting chance first.
He hides in my closet, under my desk, and under my bed. I’ve set up a hidden space for him with fresh food and water, treats, toys, a scratching post, a bed, and a litter box but he doesn’t go in it. He’s crying in my closet right now but I can’t comfort OR get to him. I feel horrible. Please help me!
I discovered last night that he throws himself against the window trying to get out. I introduced him to my gentlest cat last night and he hissed and spit at him. I’m at a loss!
congrats on your new baby! He needs to be fixed first and foremost..he also needs shots…and if you plan to keep him inside declaw him…then if you can try to catch the sister and keep her too..cats are better as a pair..because they get very bored all day alone! good luck he will settle down promise…talk to him hold him alot..treat him like a human thats what i did with my male kitten and he is fine!
