What do you think of people who dress their dogs…?
Just wondering. I have to dress my dog because she has like next to no fur. She has alot of of clothes because its something i enjoy doing and she deosnt mind at all, shes warm.. i was just wondering like when you see people who dress their pets do you think its mean or a good idea, because i get different reactions…

I think its fine as long as the dog doesnt care. My bosses Bullies are quite ecstatic when I pull out a coat, they know theyre going for a walk and if they stay still long enough I can put it on them and they strut around, this is Karma impersonating a leopard:

They have short coats also so they really like the warm fuzzy coats though its really hard to find anything in Bull Terrier size.
It’s fine if you’re keeping them warm, to fashion them up, it’s fine if you live in L.A.
I think they have way too much time on their hands. It looks ridiculous.
If the dog doesn’t mind and you enjoy it, nobody’s business but yours. There’s nothing wrong with loving your dog and wanting to have fun with it.
I think its fine, it doesn’t hurt them or isn’t mean they just aren’t use to it in the beginning. I have a tiny yorkie I dress all the time and I’m sure it helps her stay warm! Some people have different reactions..but many places sell clothes…so it depends on what you like!!
I live with a canine Richard Simmons. This little Village person LOVES his clothes. I know that people would have their doubts but that is until they meet him and see how excited he gets when you show him a sweater.
He is such a fruit! I love him.
Now my Bullies are a different story. You put clothes on them and they act like they are being punished. They are SO humiliated.
So I guess it all depends on the dog and how they feel about being dressed. After all they are the ones that have to wear the stuff!

A lot of people dress their kids in only the cutest clothes, the best of everything. Most of the time these are the same people who make fun of those who dress their dogs. Either that or it’s the ones who are just jealous cuz your dog is dressed better than they are. Either way, who cares. If you and your dog enjoy it…good for you! My dog gets cold too and i have a few sweatshirts for him too….but my other one with plenty of hair would get jealous if he didn’t have the matching bandana……:)
I dress my Pit Bull. Mostly because she gets cold, but she looks more "people friendly" when she’s dressed up.
She has a shirt that says "LOVER NOT A BITER"
And a sweater, and 2 jackets, and PJ’s. She doesn’t wear the PJ’s though.
I don’t think it’s anybody’s business if someone dresses up their dog. As long as they’re not being abused, mind your own business. I can dress my dog up all I want!
My doggies love their sweaters! They keep them warm! My little doggie even has a hat and jacket.
Yes, maybe I do have too much time on my hands, but it’s not hurting anyone. So I’ll continue.

i think its fine…me my brother and his girlfriend just bought a jacket for their puppy, hes a pug. we live in michigan and its been really cold, and ill take the puppy with me to the party store, and i feel bad cause hell come home shivering…so i told them that their dog is shivering and i felt bad. we bought him a puppy jacket, that is blue with white fur. i took him out earlier today and when i brought him back in he was fine and warm.
if the dog doesnt mind it, then its cool…its just another way to show your dog that you care enough to dress them up.
My Boston terrier Maggie loves her sweaters and gets exited when she sees me pull them out. She is very cold natured and will shiver and pout without one.
I think people are giving loving care when they dress them up warmly. Even larger dogs can get very cold.

I think its kind of mean if its just for looks. Your case is fine since your dog is practically hairless. My grandma has just started dressing her Chiwauwau’s (don’t know how to spell that) since it got cold outside and I havn’t decided how I feel about that yet. They keep on yanking it off so they hate it. :/
You know you should not dress them because there are dogs the dog is not a human they didnt apreciate who they are the dog is dog the dog is not human treat bthem who they are let them play at the grasses let them play with other dog they do not feel who they are you know.
